Brother DS 640 Compact Mobile Document Scanner Review

I recently had the chance to review the Brother DS 640 Compact Mobile Document Scanner and I am very impressed. This scanner is an absolute must have for anyone who needs to quickly and easily scan documents, business cards, or other types of media.

The DS 640 is ultra compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around with you wherever you go. Its powered by a micro USB 3.0 cable which means you dont need an outlet to use it, which is great if youre on the go a lot. The scan speed is impressive too it can scan color and black and white documents at up to 16ppm, so youll never be waiting around for your scans.

The scanner also offers some great features that help optimize images and text such as automatic color detection/adjustment, image rotation for PC only , bleed through prevention/background removal, text enhancement, and color drop. Theres also a software suite included with the scanner that includes document management and OCR software, making it even easier to use.

One thing I really like about this scanner is that it works with both Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems as well as TWAIN/WIA for PC/ICA for Mac/SANE drivers so no matter what type of computer you have youll be able to use this scanner without any issues. It also comes with a Brother free iPrint Scan desktop app which allows you to scan documents directly into multiple Scan to destinations such as your PC, network, cloud services, email or OCR software which is really handy.

Overall Im very pleased with the Brother DS 640 Compact Mobile Document Scanner and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a portable scanner thats easy to use but still offers great quality scans every time.
