I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Donner 5 Piece Junior Drum Kit. I was immediately impressed with the quality of this product, and it is definitely one of the best drum sets available for children ages 5 12. The kit includes a 14 x 10 inch bass drum, 6 x 4 inch fixed tom, 8 x 4 inch fixed tom, 8 x 4 inch fixed snare drum with stand, 12 x 8 inch floor tom, 8 hi hat with stand, 10 straight cymbal with stand, 5A wooden drums 2 , small wooden drums 2 , bass pedal and adjustable round cushion drum seat.
The quality of this product is excellent. The shells are made from horizontal grained poplar wood which provides strength and uniform vibration for a loud sound. The bass drum uses high quality silver rims and coated brackets for added durability. Additionally, the set includes a bench that can hold up to 198 lbs., adult and small drum sticks, and an instruction video for easy assembly.
This product is perfect for beginning drummers who are just starting out in their musical journey. It is lightweight yet sturdy enough to withstand regular use. I found that the sound quality was great considering its size it has a nice bright tone that will encourage beginners to explore different sounds and rhythms. Furthermore, all of the pieces are adjustable so children can customize their set up as they grow older and become more experienced players.
