Product Overview
I recently tried out the Garmin Tread Powersport Off Road Navigator for an off roading adventure I was taking. I had heard good things about this product and wanted to see if it lived up to its reputation. After using the navigator, I can say that it definitely exceeded my expectations.
The first feature of the Garmin Tread that impressed me was its rugged exterior and IPX7 water rating. This made it perfect for tackling any terrain or weather conditions without worrying about damaging the device. The 5.5 inch touchscreen is also glove friendly, making it easy to use even when wearing gloves. The display is also ultra bright so that you can easily read maps and other data even in direct sunlight.
The Garmin Tread comes preloaded with topographic maps of North and Central America as well as street maps of North America. It also includes U.S. public and private land boundaries, U.S. Forest Service roads and trails with Motor Vehicle Use Maps, and downloadable, subscription free BirdsEye Satellite Imagery. You can even pair the device with a compatible inReach satellite communicator to stay in touch globally subscription required .
The Tread app allows you to sync your waypoints, tracks and routes across devices plus get easy GPX Import/Export and access to live weather when paired with your compatible smartphone using an active Wi Fi connection. You can also pair the device with select Garmin GPS dog trackers sold separately to navigate and track your dogs from your vehicle.
In addition, the built in altimeter, barometer, compass, and pitch roll gauges make navigating challenging terrain a breeze while points of interest from the iOverlander database and Ultimate Public Campgrounds data mean that you don t need a cell signal to find established campsites. Plus, you can pair the device with other Garmin off road products like the Garmin PowerSwitch digital switch box or BC 40 wireless camera each sold separately for added convenience while off roading.
Overall, I am very pleased with my experience using the Garmin Tread Powersport Off Road Navigator for my off road adventures. It is definitely worth considering if you are looking for a reliable navigator that can handle any terrain or weather conditions without compromising on performance or accuracy. Highly recommended!
